Support for learning and school attendance

Every child has the right to receive high-quality education and support for learning and school attendance. If a pupil has problems in learning or school attendance, he/she is provided with a wide range of support as early as possible. Support for learning and school attendance is primarily provided at the pupil’s local school. If sufficient support cannot be provided for the pupil at the local school, he/she is directed to study in the town’s joint special support groups. The aim is to find the best suited place of study for the pupil in cooperation with pupil welfare and the guardians.

Support is divided into general, enhanced and special support.
